About the Role: We’re hiring our first-ever Content Designer for the Growth team. This role involves building content strategy across the customer journey—from discovery to onboarding, activation, and expansion. You will shape messaging that drives growth across various surfaces, blending marketing, product, and AI-generated content. Success depends on speed, clarity, cohesion, and customer insight. You should have deep expertise in content design, growth experimentation, and experience working at the intersection of product and marketing. You will set standards, create systems, and impact how small businesses experience Gusto from the first interaction and beyond. This role is crucial for shaping Gusto’s growth messaging, connecting strategy with language, and establishing standards for clarity, consistency, and conversion. About the Team: The Growth team focuses on helping customers find, adopt, and engage with our products. We prioritize a user-centric approach, ensuring growth initiatives are based on value and trust. You’ll work with Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Marketing partners on key customer journey touchpoints. Responsibilities: Drive growth through content that accelerates conversion, activation, and expansion across acquisition, onboarding, and monetization. Develop guidelines, systems, and principles for scalable growth messaging across channels. Partner on testing and experimentation to deliver impactful content quickly. Collaborate with marketing to ensure cohesive messaging across campaigns and product surfaces. Lead AI content training, setting quality standards and guiding content models. Audit and improve copy for consistency and clarity across the customer journey. Define a long-term content strategy to support the Growth team and Gusto’s broader goals. Use customer feedback and research to inform design decisions. Align content strategies with business objectives like revenue growth and customer retention. Own high-impact initiatives and guide content strategy across teams. Promote a culture of learning through experimentation and curiosity. Qualifications: 8-10+ years in content design, UX writing, or content strategy, preferably in growth or conversion-focused environments. Experience in B2B SaaS or multi-product platforms, impacting onboarding and monetization. Ability to craft clear, motivating content for complex workflows and diverse personas. Experience in fast-paced, experimental environments with data-driven iteration. Knowledge of balancing brand, voice, and performance goals. Experience establishing and scaling content systems. Familiarity with AI-generated content and language models is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to operate independently. Mentoring experience and ability to work across marketing and product teams. Comfort supporting multiple teams with varied goals. Knowledge of subscription models, service design, or Fintech/Payroll/HR is advantageous. Nice to Have: Familiarity with Fintech, Payroll, or HR SaaS products. #J-18808-Ljbffr Gusto
