Branch Manager, IT and Digital Marketing at Addison Group

We are seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact team at a premier Washington, DC-based data solutions and analytics tech firm. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering full ownership of infrastructure and DevOps strategy for a next-generation data platform built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage GCP infrastructure (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
• Design and maintain Terraform modules for staging and production
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Implement observability tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK)
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Bash, Python, or Go
• Collaborate with developers on deployment strategies and production support
• Enforce cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC, network policies)
• Lead incident response and post-mortem processes

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years in cloud infrastructure and DevOps roles
• Deep experience with GCP services and architecture
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools and observability stacks
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go)
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security

Preferred Skills:

• SOC2 compliance experience
• Helm and Kubernetes operators
• Serverless (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
• Experience with data pipelines or ML inference workloads
