Summary of Position and Responsibility: The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the sales team, ensuring smooth and efficient sales processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales representatives and other departments.

• Support sales team with administrative tasks: Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts. Manage and update customer records and sales databases.
• Coordinate sales activities and events: Organize and coordinate sales meetings, trade shows, and other events. Prepare materials and logistics for sales events and meetings.
• Assist in order processing and customer service: Process sales orders, track shipments, and handle customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Generate sales reports and analysis: Prepare and distribute regular sales reports and analysis to the sales team and management. Monitor sales performance and provide insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and support for sales activities. Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to sales.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

• Knowledge:
  • Understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Abilities:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Qualifications (Education, Certifications, and/or Training):

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Required Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or related roles.

Preferred Experience: Experience with CRM software and sales analytics.

Work Environment: This role operates in a standard office environment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Physical Demands: This role primarily involves extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation, with regular use of keyboard and mouse for typing and data entry tasks. Visual acuity is required to view computer screens and review documents. Occasional lifting of office supplies or materials up to 20 pounds may be required.
