Job Description

Overview:

The successful candidate will join a team comprising one board-certified pediatric neurologist and one nurse practitioner at the Toledo location. The clinical team includes registered nurses, medical assistants, EEG technicians, and registration staff. The Division of Pediatric Neurology in Toledo offers dedicated call coverage, inpatient and ED consultations, and operates a 3-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Candidates must have completed a residency in Child Neurology, be board certified or eligible in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology, possess strong clinical skills, and have a commitment to teaching and community service.

Job Description Summary:

Provides comprehensive medical care and treatment to pediatric patients.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts patient assessments, diagnoses medical conditions, and develops treatment plans.
  • Implements and monitors treatment protocols, adjusting as necessary.
  • Orders, interprets diagnostic tests, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provides education and support to patients and their families.
  • Maintains accurate medical records and participates in training of medical staff and students.
  • Stays current with medical research and advancements to ensure high-quality care.
Education Requirement:
  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited program.
  • Completion of an approved fellowship program, if applicable.
Licensure Requirement:
  • Medical license valid in Ohio.
  • Unrestricted physician license.
Certifications:

Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
