Description:
The Mammography Tech Float Pool will perform a variety of mammographic procedures on both women and men following established protocols. This role includes conducting bone densitometry studies, ensuring quality radiographs, and adhering to radiation protection standards. The technician will actively participate in the department's continuous quality improvement process while ensuring customer satisfaction and appropriateness of care for all assigned patients.
This role will provide coverage across multiple locations in the Miami-Dade and Broward County regions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform high-quality mammographic procedures in compliance with established protocols.
Conduct bone densitometry studies as required.
Ensure patient safety by following all radiation protection standards.
Maintain compliance with department and hospital standards for quality assurance.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Provide compassionate care and ensure patient satisfaction throughout the imaging process.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training/experience.
Graduate of an approved AMA Council of Education program in Radiologic Technology.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Active Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Skills:
