Are you a strategic and creative communications professional ready to lead integrated messaging that builds brand trust and elevates reputation? What You’ll Do

  • Partner with media relations agencies to guide messaging strategy and identify local outreach opportunities aligned with national content.
  • Develop and manage content for social media channels, monitoring engagement and recommending improvements.
  • Train and coach internal staff, including executives, on social media best practices and effective employee ambassador programs.
  • Collaborate closely with community impact and marketing teams to tell compelling stories about grants, philanthropy, and oral health advocacy initiatives.
  • Support internal and external communications strategies and corporate messaging across various platforms, including websites, speeches, presentations, and executive communications.
  • Develop and update crisis communication plans with activation protocols and templates.
  • Serve as a backup lead for media outreach and crisis communication efforts when necessary.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for positioning the organization as a thought leader.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to ensure cohesive messaging and communication alignment.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leading corporate marketing communications projects, ideally within insurance, benefits, healthcare, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to craft clear, strategic messaging for diverse audiences, including clients, brokers, employees, and executives.
  • Experience managing vendor agencies and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including key messaging, collateral development, and digital/social media content.
  • Strategic thinker who is curious, proactive, and able to question the status quo to improve communication effectiveness.
  • Comfortable coaching executives and employees on social media presence and communications best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment with multiple priorities.
