Location: Dallas, TexasJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $28 - 30 per hourWe are seeking experienced Proofreaders/Editors to support a surge in work volume during the busiest season (September-October). This role plays a key part in producing high-quality materials and communications for clients in the insurance industry. Ideal candidates will have a sharp eye for detail, a strong grasp of grammar and style, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadline.Responsibilities:Proofread and edit a variety of employee-facing documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and consistency.Ensure all materials adhere to client-specific style guides and editorial standards.Work quickly and accurately in a deadline-driven environment.Communicate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables.Manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities during peak season.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of professional editing and/or proofreading experience.Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.Strong attention to detail and consistency.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.Flexible availability, including open windows between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (local time) and occasional weekend work.Must have reliable access to a computer and internet.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with employee benefits, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.Familiarity with collaborative editing tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word track changes).Skills:Approximately 10 hours/week in August.Growing to around 20 hours/week in September and October.JOBID: 1092736#LI-CELLA#LI-MM10#LI-REMOTE#PLEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
