Job Description Overview Amerit Fleet Solutions , one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Manager in Miami, FL . The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in a quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of light and medium to large/heavy duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. This is an on-site position. Ideal candidates will reside in Miami, FL. This position requires travel. Coverage area includes Miami, Fort Myers, Magonia Park, and Pompano Beach. Compensation: Competitive Salary - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range: $90,000-100,000 DOE with additional bonus incentives. Benefits include: Full benefits within 30 days Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance 401(k) program Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave Safety reimbursement for boots and safety glasses Career development through Amerit University Employee referral bonus up to $1,000 ASE certification reimbursement and bonus Employee recognition platform with merchandise rewards Employee assistance program (EAP) 24/7 nurse triage line Discounts on cell service and entertainment tickets Employee resource groups (ERGs) Wellness and fitness programs Laptop and/or cellphone provided Responsibilities Lead, educate, and develop employees Monitor employee performance and be accessible in the shop Oversee multiple shop operations Plan daily manpower to meet workload demands Support operations regarding equipment issues Identify opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiency Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, repair order maintenance, and compliance documentation Address corrective actions for team members Maintain safe and clean working conditions Communicate with clients to meet operational needs Monitor equipment sent for outside repairs Conduct pre-shift meetings Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies Interview and hire shop personnel Qualifications At least 2 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations and 5-8 years of management experience Technician/mechanic experience High school diploma or equivalent Familiarity with heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance (contract dependent) Experience with refrigerated cargo units (contract dependent) Ability to travel as needed, overseeing multiple locations Knowledge of DOT rules, company policies, and procedures Proven leadership and interpersonal skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Word, Excel, Fleet Management systems, and ERP/timekeeping systems #J-18808-Ljbffr ZipRecruiter
