**Our client, In food manufacturing is seeking a maintenance mechanic to join their team. As a maintenance mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with machinery maintenance as well as preventative maintenance with industrial manufacturing machinery which will align successfully in the organization.** Competitive pay starting at $28 -$32 p/h based on experience **What is in it for you?** + Full time hours + 3rd Shift 10pm-6:30am + Must be open to working weekends and overtime. + True temp to hire opportunity. **What you will be doing:** + Must be able to demonstrate mechanical ability and skills and carry out daily maintenance activities, plant rounds, preventative maintenance, plant calls and continual improvement assignments. + Must have general maintenance troubleshooting skills and equipment component knowledge to properly diagnose equipment failures. + Demonstrate ability to properly disconnect and reconnect DC, AC, motion control and Wye-Delta Motors. + Demonstrate the ability to use a voltmeter properly to identify voltage, amperage and resistance of an electrical circuit. While utilizing electrical schematics. + Able to distinguish and identify chain, sprockets, gearbox types and belts. + Demonstrate ability to weld metal. stick or heliarc. + Demonstrate ability to preform basic copper soldering and use oxy/acetylene torch in cutting and brazing. + Demonstrate basic refrigeration comprehension and understanding of refrigeration fundamentals, components and their functions. **Who we are looking for:** + 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic working with industrial equipment. + Must be able to work around electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and thermodynamic equipment safely. + Fluent in written and verbal English. + Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move 50 pounds.
