Job Description

The Planet Group is seeking a Digital Production Artist to join our well-known advertising client on a 3-month contract.

This is a 40-hour per week position and will work a hybrid schedule out of their Sunnyvale, CA office. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the interactive space and its production requirements, including resolution and outputs.

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA (Tues-TR onsite)

Duration: 3 months (potential extension)

Pay Rate: $36-$45/hr depending on experience

Digital Production Artist Responsibilities:

• Update product imagery and UI elements in Photoshop comps, and output web graphics
• Structure Photoshop comps to optimize efficient production and localization workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps
• Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, text, and links are flawless
• Track and check-in web graphics and visual assets using a version control system
• Ensure project deadlines are met and with accurate file handoffs for localization
• Support training of newer team members
• 3-5 years experience in a hands-on, high-volume web or HTML email design and publishing environment (or equivalent)
• Photoshop expertise, particularly setting up files for web production and adhering to graphic design standards
• Excellent design and typography sensibilities applicable to web pages and HTML email
• Familiarity with Sketch and GiT
• Thrives in a challenging, fast-paced web publishing workplace
• Collaborates easily with designers and web developers
• Able to adhere to a consistent graphic production and check-in process, while also identifying opportunities for improvement
• Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
