Managing Director of Accounting & Finance at Morgan Hunter

Our client is a construction/engineering firm dedicated to growth! They are committed to finding a Visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. If you are passionate about combining financial expertise with purpose-driven work, this is your opportunity!

Position Summary:

The CFO will play a critical role in shaping this organization's financial strategy and sustainability. This individual will oversee the financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The CFO will also be a strategic partner to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, contributing to the organization's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis to support organizational growth and sustainability
• Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Oversee accounting, finance, and audit functions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Provide financial insights and reports to the Board of Directors and leadership team
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and optimize resources
• Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a non-profit organization
• Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles (GAAP), budgeting, and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
• Proficiency in construction accounting software
