- Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – Shade: 7W1 Deep Spice
Pros: Love the longevity, coverage, buildability & overall match. Not runny. Feels natural on the skin. Used Fenty 445 & 450 for the past 6 years and felt that it was unbeatable but upon trying this one – I am not disappointed! Cons: Doesn’t come with a pump, so had to order that separately. I think the bottle is/appears smaller than I am used to for the price point but then again I didn’t compare the Oz against other faves.
2. Juvias Place eyeshadow palette – The Chocolates
Juvia’s Place has always been a go-to for me. I used to have this exact palette but misplaced it over a year ago. Since then, I’ve tried other brands like Morphe, ColourPop, and NYX, which were okay, but I kept missing my old favorite. This palette, with its versatile brown shades, goes with everything and is so easy to work with—even when I’m short on time (which is always, lol). I’m so glad I repurchased it. This is the palette I’ll use until kingdom come!
3. Tabletop portable makeup mirror
Sometimes I just want to do my makeup or hair anywhere in the house. While I love my designated vanity spot, this portable mirror has been a game-changer.It gives me so much flexibility—whether I’m watching TV while doing my makeup, touching up for virtual meetings at my desk, or installing wigs while plopped on the couch. The sturdy stem even doubles as a phone stand, so I can listen to true crime podcasts or watch vlogs as I get ready. Honestly, this mirror makes me feel less trapped, and I love it for that!
4. Bath and Body Works Lip gloss – A thousand wishes
I’m a die-hard matte lip lover, but sometimes I crave a little shine. This lip gloss hits the sweet spot with just the right amount of shine, stickiness, and finish. I bought it on a whim during the December 2024 annual sale—it was heavily discounted, and I thought, Why not? I had zero expectations, but to my surprise, it’s been amazing! Whether I wear it alone or layer it over a matte lip, it always looks great.
5. Fragrances: Daisy by Marc Jacobs & Dolce&Gabbana L’Imperatrice
L’Imperatrice: My husband picked this one out all on his own, and wow, I LOVE IT! It’s a scent I didn’t realize I needed. I’d never tried anything floral from Dolce’s collection before, but this one is perfect.
Daisy by Marc Jacobs: My best friend chose this as my Christmas gift, and I wanted to cry when I opened it! She has such impeccable taste and really took the time to find something so thoughtful. Plus, isn’t the flower cap just gorgeous? I love both wearing and admiring this fragrance—it’s such a joy!
